Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ (/sæʤ/ /ˈkuɪ/ [early] [runner]) is a subtropical Town located in Wělfuv Zone, Bw-186ynæd District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ is derived from the Constructi language, as Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ was founded by Snocthè Zlkêtco, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ receives an average of 217 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5590 m (18339 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1297, by Snocthè Zlkêtco. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of crampt packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The town's robustly designed timber walls are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Right off the bat Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the town nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the town, particularly the market.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is recurring in Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ.

The Tiger (Cat, Great) near Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves orgies to channel Abjuration energies of tier 1 via divine sermons.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ was struck by unseasonably warm weather, causing a sweltering heat to smouther the land for 28 days. Wæm Sæjĭ Kuǐ lost 243 people and 270 livestock in the disaster.. The deadly heat is remembered by most as the Torment's Flame.
